Homedog Resort & Daycare is a premier, cage-free dog daycare and dog boarding facility in Columbus, Ohio. Located in downtown Columbus’s historic Brewery District, Homedog offers over 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space for dogs to explore. We want to make the joy of owning a dog easier by giving you more time and less worry while providing your dog(s) the exercise and enrichment they need to help you grow and sustain a happy, healthy, and lifelong bond with your dog(s). 

We get it – you’re BUSY and a dog is a HUGE COMMITMENT but dogs are literally the best ever and we mean literally, like literally. If you don’t think you can enjoy the magical experience of a dog and still have a busy life then worry no more because we have you and your dog covered! We can be your dog’s proxy BFF or at least introduce them to their proxy BFF while you’re at work, running errands, being a superhero or just taking a YOU day because let’s face it you are awesome and probably deserve it.


We are here to help in any way we can because we want to make being a doggy daddy or mommy easier. We’ll be your go-to, back-up, last-minute, first call or whatever other type of option you can think of, in the end we’ll be here because YOUR DOG IS OUR HOMIE!

OUR DOG CARE SERVICES

 
Our mission is to provide dog lovers with all the services and resources they need to grow a happy, healthy, and lifelong bond with their dogs. Those services include daycare, boarding, training, and walking. We understand that each dog is unique and has their likes and dislikes, so each of our services offers a variety of programs to help ensure your dog is as comfortable and content as possible!


Our dog daycare is unlike any other daycare in Columbus. We created specific programs designed to meet the needs of dogs as they grow and their needs change. We provide our guests with 5 indoor & 4 outdoor play areas to ensure each dog is matched with playmates who enjoy the same type of play and an environment that sets them up for success and reduces the chance of them developing undesirable behaviors or habits.


Our dog boarding resort isn’t your typical kennel because we offer a cage-free experience. What exactly is a cage-free dog boarding experience? While your dog stays with us, they won’t be in a crate or cage but instead in a custom-built, private suite ranging in size from 4×4 to 8×8. The other part of our cage-free dog boarding experience is that each dog who spends the night with Homedog also gets a full day of doggy daycare at no additional cost*. Limiting our guest’s alone time and ensuring they get plenty of exercise and enrichment helps reduce separation anxiety – not to mention they have a great time.


Our dog training program uses positive reinforcement training techniques to achieve your goals. We develop custom training plans to ensure your dog receives a balanced approach to their daily routines, build their confidence, and make the appropriate decisions in various environments and situations. Our training plans can be implemented while your dog is at daycare, during their boarding stay, in your home, or ours with or without you present  - whatever suits your schedule and objectives.


Homedog was built to be a place that cares for your dog just the way they would be cared for at home.


GUEST REQUIREMENTS

In order to ensure the safety of our guests and staff we ask that all of our guests adhere to the below requirements. 


  • Bordetella
  • Distemper, Parvo and Parainfluenza (DPP, DHLPP, DAPP)
  • Rabies
  • Clean Fecal Exam (required every 12 months)
  • Spayed or Neutered if Over 6 Months of Age (unaltered dogs may participate in our Homedog High or Homedog University programs)
  • Current on Flea/Tick Preventative and Heartworm Treatment
  • Free of Any Open Wounds or Infectious Diseases
  • Complete New Guest Assessment
  • Not Aggressive Towards Dogs or People
  • RECOMMENDED: Bivalent Canine Influenza (Not Required)

LIVE WEBCAMS

We provide our guests with the most enjoyable experience by providing access to webcams in our indoor and outdoor play areas. These cameras allow our guests to check in on their furbaby and better understand what goes on during the day. Our webcams are available from 9 am to 5 pm and are password protected. Guests can access the password at drop-off!

OUR DOG RESORT & DOG DAYCARE LOCATION

Homedog Resort & Daycare is located in Columbus’ historic Brewery District. Only seconds from the 71/70 interchange, blocks from the heart of downtown, and right next door to German Village – our location (and our off-street parking) makes drop-offs and pick-ups easy and hassle-free. Whether you live, work, or play in downtown Columbus, you will not find another dog daycare and boarding facility like ours – certainly not one as large. We provide services to residents who live or work in the Brewery District, German Village, Merion Village, Grandview, Italian Village, Ohio State, and Short North. Our facility is over 10,000 square feet and situated on almost an acre of land, so you will have a place to park, and your dog(s) will have plenty of room to run! If you are in the area, feel free to stop in, and we’ll give you a tour of the facility and show you how much fun our dog boarding and dog daycare guests are having. We look forward to meeting you and your pups!
